(NewsNation) — Retired West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, a Democrat who became an independent, joins the “CUOMO” town hall to offer suggestions on ending the ongoing government shutdown. If he were in charge, Manchin said, he’d make legislative leaders meet in private until they reached a deal. “I’d feed them breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a cot for them to sleep in, because they’re not leaving until they fix it,” he said.
