BOCA CHICA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A head statue of Elon Musk located near Starbase was vandalized.
The statue shows layers peeled off the statue’s face, with damage done to the front and lower back of the statue.

The owner of the property where the statue is located says he is working to install cameras in the area to avoid vandalism in the future.
“We don’t want this to happen again because it was an effort to put it up and very expensive,” the owner said.
The owner has tried to get in contact with the statue artist, who lives outside of the Rio Grande Valley.
“They haven’t called us back. They are going to have to repair it,” the owner continued.
This is the second Elon Musk-related vandalism reported in the Rio Grande Valley this year.
