Second email to federal workers comes with caveat

(NewsNation) — Federal workers received their second email asking them to explain their productivity in as many weeks.

The Office of Personnel Management on Friday sent an email asking employees to list five bullets’ worth of accomplishments.

NewsNation obtained a copy of the email, which said it should be completed by each Monday at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The email is titled “What did you do last week? Part II” and notes that links, attachments, or sensitive information should not be included.

Last week, FBI director Kash Patel was among multiple chiefs to tell his employees not to respond to the email due to the sensitive nature of the job.

Should workers be completing classified work, this week’s email says they should reply with “All of my activities are sensitive.”

Earlier this week, Elon Musk said hundreds of thousands of federal employees have “another chance” to justify their recent accomplishments or risk losing their jobs.
