TAMPA, Fla. (BLOOM) — The Budweiser Clydesdales will make appearances in the Tampa Bay area later this month.
Known for their majestic stature and storied history, the Clydesdales are a fan favorite wherever they go.
Schedule of Appearances:
Jan. 22, 2025: Sparkman’s Wharf, 615 Channelside Dr., Tampa
One Horse Show: 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Jan. 23, 2025: Cypress Creek Town Center, Grand Cypress Dr., Lutz
Full Hitch: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Jan. 25, 2025: Gasparilla Parade of Pirates, Bayshore Blvd., Tampa
Full Hitch: 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
The appearances are part of hundreds of events the Clydesdales participate in annually, showcasing their beauty, power, and gentle demeanor to crowds across the nation.

Clydesdales first arrived in the U.S. in the mid-1800s, brought by Canadians of Scottish descent. Today, these impressive draft horses are bred for shows and events.
To qualify for the Budweiser hitch, a horse must meet rigorous criteria:
At least 3 years old
Standing about 18 hands (6 feet) at the shoulder
Weighing approximately 2,000 pounds
Bay in color, with four white legs, a white blaze on the face, and a black mane and tail
A calm and friendly temperament
Each horse consumes an astonishing amount of feed—20-25 quarts daily—along with 40 to 50 pounds of hay and 30 gallons of water.
Every Budweiser hitch travels with a Dalmatian, a nod to their role in the early days of brewing, when the dogs were trained to guard the horses and wagons during deliveries.
Fans can also visit the Clydesdales year-round at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery and Grant’s Farm in St. Louis, Missouri, or Warm Springs Ranch, their 300-acre breeding farm near Boonville, Missouri.
