(NewsNation) — Cheryl Hines is making the rounds on TV shows and radio flogging her upcoming memoir, “Unscripted,” out Nov. 12. But while the book promises that Hines “delves into her personal life, revealing the challenges and joys of a blended family with her husband, activist-lawyer and 2024 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,” I’m told it barely scrapes the surface.
Hines does not delve into how she allegedly met Kennedy while both he and she were married.
The book will also not describe Kennedy’s purported addiction to sex or the journal he kept of women whom he’d had sex with during not only his prior marriage to Mary Richardson Kennedy but also his early relationship with Cheryl.

In 2013, the New York Post reported that a “secret diary” belonging to Kennedy was found by his then‐wife, Mary Kennedy, and included the names of 37 women with whom the journal says he had sexual or romantic encounters.
The journal reportedly contained a “ledger” under a heading like “Cash Accounts” (or a decoy ledger) where he numbered the women and assigned codes (1-10) to represent sexual acts; number “10” was alleged to mean intercourse.
Hines met Kennedy in 2004 but didn’t formally announce she was dating him exclusively until 2011, after he and Mary had officially separated but were still legally married.
Mary Kennedy died by suicide in 2012 after accusing her husband of gaslighting her and cheating on her. Friends said she had been depressed the two years since the divorce at the time of her death.

Hines also doesn’t mention why her husband insisted Mary’s body be buried in the Kennedy family plot in Hyannis Port — only to illegally dig up her body during the night and have her despoiled on another side of the cemetery.
Hines also ignores Olivia Nuzzi — the New York Magazine reporter who was fired after it was revealed she’d had a sextual (sex texting) relationship with RFK Jr. during the 2024 election — as well as reporting by Mediaite that he’d had several relationships with women in a California MAHA group that year.
And while Hines does talk about the fallout of her Hollywood relationships — she has said Larry David and the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” cast won’t talk to her due to Kennedy’s political stances — she remains mum on her own reactions to Kennedy’s “lust demons” or her reported demands that RFK Jr. relocate to Washington, D.C., full time so she can keep an eye on him.
Basically, anyone who buys the book looking for actual scoop and self-awareness … will be sorely disappointed.
