WASHINGTON (NewsNation) — President Donald Trump is expected to announce on Thursday his first steps toward expanding access to in vitro fertilization (IVF), a procedure to induce pregnancy that he promised to make more affordable during his 2024 campaign.
Trump signed an executive order in February asking for recommendations for policies that could lower IVF costs. He will issue guidance on Thursday seeking to encourage more employers to cover the procedure as part of health insurance plans, according to The New York Times.
