(NewsNation) — Elon Musk confirmed via X that his artificial intelligence company, xAI, is actively hiring an AI tutor specializing in video games.

A good candidate for the role should have high proficiency in Game Design, Computer Science, Interactive Media or a related field. It is based in Palo Alto, California, or can be fully remote. Compensation ranges from $45 — $100 per hour.
Musk calls to cancel Netflix, citing ‘trans ideology’ allegations
In November of 2024, Musk publicly announced that xAI will build a game studio powered by AI like Grok. Musk tweeted that the studio will be working on a way to “integrate photo-realistic graphics” into AI games, also touting that Grok could improve the graphics in games by simply writing out a prompt.
At the time, the games team consisted of nine members, including Musk.
The AI game studio may be a part of xAI’s strategy to diversify its portfolio after aiming for a $50-billion evaluation.
This comes as the games industry expects a disruption of traditional game dev cycles, which are often expensive, labor-intensive and slow. With the introduction of AI in the development of games, it is expected to revolutionize and revitalize the industry by creating games that prioritize gameplay and allowing independent games and developers to flourish.
