Ronda Rousey made promise to never speak ill of Trump

(NewsNation) — UFC legend Ronda Rousey revealed she made a promise to CEO Dana White that she would never utter a bad word about President Trump.

Trump, who is frequently seen at UFC events, is a fan favorite and popular among many of its fighters who routinely dedicate victories to the president.

“I think it’s part of the history of the sport,” Rousey said of Trump’s involvement with the company. “In 2016, Dana White specifically made me promise to not say anything bad about Donald Trump because back when they needed a venue and no one would give it to them, he did.

“And because I feel like I owe Dana my life, I told him, ‘Alright.'”

Rousey joined the program to discuss her latest book, “Our Fight,” which details how she was able to find happiness following her legendary fighting career.

“Your life is every day, it’s not just accomplishments. It really is about the journey, not the destination,” she said. “I would say I fell short of every major goal I set for myself … [but] I ended up having an incredible life in the process.”
