LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A store dedicated to merchandise celebrating the 45th and 47th Presidents of the United States is capturing attention in the sports and entertainment capital of the world.

Located at Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue, just east of the Las Vegas Strip, the Trump Store opened Saturday to a positive response, according to the store’s owner, Jeff Compton.

“People are so interested and so excited when they open that door and they see what’s here,” Compton said. Indeed, inside the store, shoppers will find an array of Trump-inspired merchandise, including cardboard cutouts, kitchenware, and more. Compton said the most sought-after item is the apparel.

“The big thing is T-shirts,” Compton said. “That’s how it started. We have so many designs that we’ve created.”

Those popular designs include a shirt that reads “Daddy’s Home,” and another featuring the face of the Department of Government Efficiency, Elon Musk. Trump Store also offers merchandise specific to Las Vegas.

“We have a series of shirts with Trump in different Las Vegas scenarios. There’s a ‘Trump King’ coming out today dressed as Elvis; there’s one of him playing cards, one of him shooting craps, all the different things you would do here.”

According to Compton, the other stores surrounding the Trump Store have responded positively.

“So far, talking to the other tenants of the center, the casino next door, the Bourbon Street, the nail salon, the Thai restaurant, everyone seems to embrace it,” he said, adding that the public has also been positive — mostly.

“I have had one person open the door and say something inappropriate to one of the girls that work here, which is kind of a shame,” Compton recounted. “But for the most part, the pushback has been respectful. It’s a big city and a big state, and there’s room for everybody.”

The Las Vegas location is one of three nationwide and is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
