(The Hill) — President Donald Trump said Monday that two of former President Joe Biden’s children — Hunter Biden and Ashley Biden — would no longer receive protection from the Secret Service.
“Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection. Likewise, Ashley Biden who has 13 agents will be taken off the list,” Trump posted on Truth Social.
Trump was asked earlier in the day about Hunter Biden’s Secret Service detail during a trip to South Africa. Trump indicated he would move to cut off the protection.

Monday’s announcement makes the Biden children the latest Trump critics or opponents to lose their Secret Service detail, which is typically granted to individuals facing verified threats to their safety.
Trump previously revoked the protective details for former Defense Secretary Mark Esper, former national security adviser John Bolton, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Dr. Anthony Fauci and former envoy to Iran Brian Hook.
The Biden family has been a target of criticism from Republicans for years, but Hunter Biden in particular has repeatedly found himself in the middle of GOP attacks.
Trump has led the charge among Republicans who have made claims that Hunter Biden was in business with his father, assertions former President Biden repeatedly denied. Trump allies have also circulated salacious photos of Hunter Biden.
Then-President Biden late last year gave his son, Hunter, a full and unconditional pardon.
