“It was a playground of artistic opportunity. Working in college radio gave me a voice and taught me how to tell a story, not just through words but through timing, tone, and engagement with the audience. These skills translated seamlessly into producing, where the essence of storytelling is just as crucial.”
Many know you first ventured into acting before moving behind the scenes as a producer. What sparked the shift from acting to producing, and how did your early acting experiences influence your approach to theater production?
“After several years of acting, I realized I was more fascinated by what happened behind the curtain. The transition felt natural; my acting experience gave me an empathetic perspective towards performers, allowing me to tailor productions that supported their needs and highlighted their talents.”
With a diverse portfolio of shows, what criteria do you use when deciding to produce a play or musical? What draws you to a specific project?
“I look for stories that resonate on a human level, stories that offer both a challenge and an opportunity to reflect on our own experiences. I’m drawn to projects that have a unique angle or bold narrative—something that hasn’t been seen before.”

“One of the biggest challenges is the financial aspect—ensuring the production is commercially viable without compromising artistic integrity. I’ve learned that clear, open communication and meticulous planning are key to balancing the creative with the commercial.”
What has the process been like working on shows from its conception to its imminent opening? Can you share any behind-the-scenes insights into what audiences can expect?
“From the initial script reading to the final stages of production, every step has been about refining and enhancing the story. Audiences can expect a compelling blend of history, intrigue, and drama, often with a healthy dose of comedy.”
